Invenio’s Research & Development service for businesses

At Invenio, we focus on delivering R&D services for the development of innovative materials and products, optimized for performance and efficiency through the application of nanofibers.
We operate in a B2B environment: our clients are companies looking to boost their competitiveness and business success by integrating nanomaterials into their products.

From experience, we’ve learned that companies typically come to us with two main goals: improve the performance of their existing products or enter a new market with a product that offers truly unique features.
If your goal aligns with either of these, Invenio could be your ideal partner.

Servizio di R&D di Invenio per materiali innovativi adatti a nuovi segmenti di mercato.

Nanomaterials, Outstanding Performance

Right now, our R&D activities are focused on companies in the air filtration sector, specifically those involved in respiratory protection (PPE manufacturing) and indoor air purification for professional and domestic settings.
But demand is growing across multiple sectors. We’re already working on custom projects for clients in highly diverse industries.
We work with a wide selection of polymers, both synthetic (PVDF, PU, NYLON, PLA) and natural (cellulose, collagen, silk fibroin, chitosan).

We created something entirely new. Neatess®, the future of air filtration.

With Neatess®, our breakthrough nanofiber membrane, Invenio introduces a new frontier in air filtration: efficient, sustainable, and high-performing.

  • Cotton substrate
a 100% compostable, naturally sourced raw material
  • Ultra-thin nanofiber filter layer
    (micron and nanometer scale)
  • Greater comfort and breathability
in PPE (16.7 Pa/cm² – UNI EN 14683 standard ref. <40), while maintaining excellent bacterial filtration efficiency
  • Space-saving, compact design
for air filtration systems in enclosed environments, thanks to reduced component size
  • Material manipulation at the nanoscale enables miniaturization without compromising performance and offers exceptional membrane versatility
  • Lower energy consumption when used in ventilation systems
  • Longer lifespan compared to traditional filter media
We’re a smart, lean, and fast-moving company, which means we build close and direct relationships with our clients. We bring together scientific and engineering expertise, in-depth knowledge of the regulations that govern your industry and product performance, and a solid understanding of the market you operate in or aim to enter. This allows us to identify the solution that best fits your specific goal. Choosing Invenio means choosing innovative, sustainable materials that boost product performance, without compromising on efficiency.

Why choose Invenio?

Invenio Chooses Needleless Electrospinning.

Needleless electrospinning was developed in the early 70s. Over time, various
research groups have studied and tested different spinneret shapes, and it can be said that needleless electrospinning machines are still evolving today.

In needleless systems, jets of polymer solution originate directly from the free
surface of the liquid.

Numerous jets form simultaneously on the spinneret. The start of the process and the morphology of the fibers are highly influenced by the electric field intensity profile around the spinneret, which depends on the voltage and the shape of the needleless spinneret.
Therefore, in the needleless electrospinning process, spinnerets play an essential role in determining the electrospinning process, as well as the quality and productivity of the fibers produced.

Nanofibers produced through needleless electrospinning can be applied in various fields, such as tissue engineering, drug delivery, wound treatment, sensors, energy production and
storage, protection, and safety. Needleless electrospinning is the preferred technique for industrial-scale nanofiber production because it allows for high productivity of high-quality nanofibers in a well-controlled and cost-effective process.
